India are comfortably placed in the Test against Bangladesh after notching up 356-3 on day one at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
Murali Vijay and captain Virat Kohli starred for the hosts – both scoring centuries, while Cheteshwar Pujara fell 17 runs short of a hundred.
On Twitter, former England captain Michael Vaughan described Kohli as a ‘freak’, while India legend Bishan Singh Bedi felt that this was a learning curve for Bangladesh.
There was also praise for Vijay after he scored a ‘classy’ ton.

Classy ton by Murali Vijay. In fact I can't think any of his 9 centuries not being that...

101 runs, just 10 fours and still he has a SR of 77. Says a lot about Kohli's running and ability to maneuver the ball in gaps. #IndvsBan
