  • Resurgent: JP Duminy led from the front in Daredevils’ win over Hyderabad.

Buoyed by two wins in as many games, a resurgent Delhi Daredevils will look to keep their winning run going as they take on defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders at the Feroz Shah Kotla on Sunday night.

After starting the tournament with two defeats, JP Duminy’s boys bounced back with two wins that has put their campaign back on track.

The Daredevils were a bit unlucky to lose those games but fortune hardly played any part in their next two matches, especially the last one against Sunrisers Hyderabad where Duminy struck a fine half-century and picked up four wickets to seal victory.

As far as their bowling is concerned, seamer Nathan Coultier-Nile and leggie Imran Tahir will again have to shoulder the burden, with the onus of scoring the big runs falling on Duminy and star batsman Yuvraj Singh.

Shreyas Iyer stunned many fans with his 40-ball 60 on a sluggish surface against Hyderabad and now needs to show that knock was not a flash in the pan.

Kolkata, meanwhile, proved their mettle against Kings XI Punjab in their previous game as the Gautam Gambhir-led side registered their second win in three games to stay in the top four.

In that match, all-rounder Andre Russell hit a cracking 66 off 36 balls to help the team chase down 156 after being reduced to 60 for five.

The bowling has also been in top form with pacers Umesh Yadav, Morne Morkel and Russell being among the wickets, while spinners Sunil Narine and Piyush Chawla have managed to tie down the batsmen with their line and length.

In the head-to-head encounters, the Knight Riders are just ahead with seven wins from 13 games, but  given the way Delhi are performing, parity could be restored on Sunday night.
