  • Golden arm: Farris gets his prize

A superb bowling spell from Salman Farris has helped Yogi Group Thrissur Dynamites score an emphatic seven wicket victory over Thumbay Kasargod Leopards in the Kerala Premier League at the ICC Academy.

Farris’ three wickets for just three runs from as many overs helped Yogi bowl out Kasargod for just 64 in 16 overs.

Only Haneef Mohammed managed to reach double figures by scoring 26 from 11 balls.

All Yogi bowlers performed superbly with Shehzad Manna, Wasim Bari, Jaymin Taylor, Joshil Sukani and Shadab Khan taking one wicket each.

Yogi had a small total to chase but they too made a bad start with both openers falling cheaply. Gihan Chathuranga claimed both the wickets.

A steady partnership from Adil Masood and Aniket Desai helped Yogi reach their target in just 7.1 overs. Masood made 11 from 11 balls and Desai remained not out on 16 from 11 balls.

Zahidullah bowled two overs and picked up a wicket. Farris was adjudged man of the match for his superb bowling.
