Ansu Fati returns to Barcelona training after nine-month injury spell

Barcelona have boosted by the return of teenage sensation Ansu Fati to full training.

The youngster has endured an injury nightmare over the last nine months but is approaching the end of his long road to recovery.

Fati began his Barcelona career with a bang before suffering a serious knee injury.

The 18-year-old is now close to being in contention to return to the matchday squad.

“Ansu is still recovering from his injury, he is improving,” Barca head coach Ronald Koeman said.

“It’s always difficult to say when but if everything goes well in 2-3 weeks let’s see if he can be available to train with the group. And to play games? Probably after the international break.”
