The post-lockdown Premier League fixture list is a hectic one which means there’s precious little time between Fantasy Premier League Gameweeks.

One way to ensure you keep raking in the points is by nailing your captaincy pick and that’s precisely what we aim to help you with.

We analyse the best options for the armband every GW, breaking them down into three categories: Top Pick, Alternative and Bold Choice.

Here are the picks for GW36+…

    TOP PICK – CHRISTIAN PULISIC | CHELSEA | 7.3M

    Christian Pulisic

    Christian Pulisic

Christian Pulisic blanked for the first time since the restart in Chelsea’s dreadful 3-0 away defeat to Sheffield United in GW35+. The American has bagged three goals and three assists in the last six GWs but was substituted in the 66th minute when the Blues trailed by two goals and never looked like sparking a comeback.

The attacking winger should then be fresh for Norwich’s visit to Stamford Bridge. The relegated Canaries have conceded three or more goals three times in the six GWs since the league resumed and Chelsea will be buoyed by Manchester United dropping points late on against Southampton.

With Manchester City’s UEFA ban overturned, the race for the top four has intensified and Frank Lampard will be desperate for his side to stamp their authority on this fixture and keep them in third place.

    ALTERNATIVE – MOHAMED SALAH | LIVERPOOL | 12.6M

    Mohamed Salah

Despite being afforded plenty of opportunities, Mohamed Salah failed to add to his goals tally against Burnley as he remains in the hunt for a third-straight Golden Boot.

The Egyptian has 19 goals this season, three behind Jamie Vardy, and has taken a whopping 14 shots in the last two games alone. Despite clearly indulging his selfish side, he also has five key passes in that time.

Arsenal are reeling after a 2-1 defeat in the north London derby followed a 1-1 draw at home to Leicester City. The Gunners’ defence has been vulnerable, particularly against a more direct approach with runs made in behind them. That’s where Liverpool and Salah excel.

With top four unattainable and even a Europa League spot seemingly beyond them, Mikel Arteta may have one eye on the FA Cup semi-final against Man City on Saturday.

BOLD CHOICE – DAVID SILVA | MANCHESTER CITY | 7.3M

    David Silva

    David Silva

City are desperate for silverware this season after surrendering the league title by such a big margin. With Arsenal to play in the FA Cup semi-final, Pep Guardiola will be rotating his side for Bournemouth’s visit.

As such, David Silva looks certain to start given that he was benched at Brighton and has clearly taken on a lesser role in recent times. When he does get on the pitch though, he’s as dangerous as ever and should wreak havoc against one of the worst defences in the league.

Since the restart, he’s averaged a goal involvement every 98 minutes and is creating a chance every 30 minutes. Bournemouth are fresh from a 4-1 win over Leicester but remain poor at the back and will be without influential centre-back Nathan Ake.

Captaining Silva would yield major rewards, especially since he’s a huge differential pick with an ownership of under five per cent at the time of writing.
