Gameweek 11 in Fantasy Premier League was a relatively high-scoring one with an average of 62 points.

Much of that was down to popular captain picks coming good and if you went with our choice of Kevin De Bruyne [14 points] you weren’t disappointed.

Looking ahead to GW12, Manchester United host Manchester City in the derby while Tottenham and Chelsea visit Crystal Palace and Everton respectively.

Meanwhile, Arsenal host Burnley and Liverpool travel to Fulham.

Here are a few tips to help guide you through GW12.

    CAPTAIN – MOHAMED SALAH | LIVERPOOL | 12.3M

    Mohamed Salah

Season on season, is there a more reliable premium asset than Mohamed Salah? The Liverpool star has resumed his extraordinary production this season, already bagging nine goals and three assists. Even during the 7-2 drubbing at the hands of Aston Villa, he managed an impressive 13 points.

Salah has more points [87] now than he had at the same stage of his record-breaking 2018/19 campaign. In his last four starts alone, he has three goals and two assists.

He ranks third for shots this season [38] and second for shots inside the box [28]. He takes on a porous Fulham defence.

    ALTERNATIVE

JAMIE VARDY (10.3m) has only blanked once in the last seven GWs, scoring four goals and providing three assists in that time. Meanwhile, Brighton have kept just one clean sheet since GW2.

    BOLD CHOICE

MASON MOUNT (6.8m) has been a mainstay in Frank Lampard’s line-up and had a super game against Leeds last weekend. With Hakim Ziyech out injured, he steps up for set-piece duties. He has three assists in the last five GWs.

    ONE TO GET

    CHRISTIAN PULISIC | CHELSEA | 8.2M

    Christian Pulisic

Another Chelsea player who should benefit from Ziyech’s absence is Christian Pulisic. The American was instrumental for the Blues towards the end of last season but has had his current campaign impacted by injury. Now fully fit, he came on for Ziyech against Leeds and immediately delivered a goal. He’s owned by just 2.2 per cent at the time of writing.

    ONE TO AVOID

    JAMES RODRIGUEZ | EVERTON | 7.7M

    James Rodriguez

James Rodriguez had an excellent start to the season but has tailed off since. He hasn’t had a single attacking return since GW5 and to compound matters, Everton’s fixtures are turning. They face Chelsea, Leicester, Arsenal and City in their next five games.

    BARGAIN BUY

    TOMAS SOUCEK | WEST HAM | 4.9M

    Tomas Soucek

Tomas Soucek is not exactly an exciting recruit for FPL but he does represent great value. At only 4.9m, you’d attain a player guaranteed to start every game and who is a prime target from set-piece deliveries and crosses into the box. He’s scored twice in the last four games and could help you invest more money elsewhere.
