2) ANTOINE GRIEZMANN – FRANCE
Griezmann helped Les Bleas avoid the embarrassment of getting knocked out against the Republic of Ireland as he scored a superb second-half brace.
The Atletico Madrid striker’s goals arrived in the space of three minutes in the second period and he could have well added a third when he was brought down by Shane Duffy when clean through on goal.

3) RAGNAR SIGURDSSON – ICELAND
FC Krasnodar star Ragnar Sigurdsson was voted man-of-the-match as Iceland inflicted a famous defeat on England.
The 30-year-old was a mainstay at the heart of their defence and even claimed afterwards that his team should have won by a richer scoreline.

4) GRAZIANO PELLE (ITALY)
Pelle scored Italy’s second goal as Antonio Conte’s men delivered a tactical masterclass to see off defending champions Spain 2-0.
The 30-year-old has been a key figure for the Azzurri thus far and his powerful presence upfront is vital for the team.

5) ARON GUNNARSSON – ICELAND
The Cardiff City full-back again utilised his long throw-in to superb effect, causing mayhem in the England penalty area, as Ragnar Sigurdsson stole a march on his marker to score after an initial flick on.
In truth, Gunnarsson’s work rate and energy throughout so far has been truly staggering and must have caught the eye of many top clubs in England.
6) TONI KROOS – GERMANY
The Real Madrid central midfielder pulled the strings as the reigning World champions dismissed Slovakia with ease and booked their spot in the last eight.
Kroos is without doubt the heartbeat of Joachim Low’s team and will need to be on top form again when Germany meet Italy in Bordeaux.

7) GIORGIO CHIELLINI – ITALY
The Juventus defender opened the scoring against Spain in the 2-0 win and has been a rock, as usual, in the Italy defence.
It seems like he has been around forever, but at 31, Chiellini is still performing at the peak of his powers and along with the other experienced members of the Italy backline, could help the Italians to yet another major final.

8) JULIAN DRAXLER – GERMANY
The Manchester United target, 22, has a goal and assist to his name so far and is one of European football’s most natural talents.
Skillful attacking from either flank, Draxler is proving to be a key member of Low’s side.
9) KOLBEINN SIGTHORSSON (ICELAND)
The forward certainly had Joe Hart to thank for getting on the scoresheet against England but the 26-year-old showed terrific composure on the edge of the box before side-footing home.
The FC Nantes man has proved to be a big outlet for Iceland and is able to hold the ball in attack, allowing for willing runners to go beyond him.
