    Monumental Buenos Aires, Argentina

    Diego Forlan and Luis Suarez scored as Uruguay won a record 15th Copa title.

    2007 BRAZIL 3–0 ARGENTINA
    Jose E. Romero Maracaibo, Venezuela

    Brazil retained their title with goals from Julio Baptista, a Roberto Ayala OG and Dani Alves.

    2004 BRAZIL 2–2 ARGENTINA
    (BRAZIL won 4–2 on penalties)
    Nacional Lima, Peru

    Adriano equalised late as Gabriel Heinze and Andres D’Alessandro missed in the shoot-out.

    2001 COLOMBIA 1–0 MEXICO
    El Campin Bogota, Colombia

    Colombia’s Ivan Cordoba headed the winner after the hour mark in a bad-tempered final.
