  • The one that got away: Ivan Perisic

Manchester United may have been handed the break they’ve been looking for in their pursuit of Ivan Perisic.

According to Football Italia, Lazio’s promising winger Keita Balde has left their pre-season training camp to complete his move to Inter Milan.

The 22-year-old is regarded as one of the hottest talents in Serie A, scoring 16 goals and providing three assists in the league lasts season in 21 appearances, 10 of which were off the bench.

Keita rose to prominence in May when he scored five goals in a remarkable performance which saw Lazio beat Sampordia 7-3.

With the Senegalese player moving to the San Siro, it opens the door for Perisic to sign for United.

Jose Mourinho is known to be a fan of the Croatian and sees him as a vital signing ahead of the new season.

Perisic left Inter’s training camp on Saturday as United step up talks to sign the 28-year-old.

The Serie A outfit have demanded a fee of £48 million for the former Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg man.
