Will any of the following deals happen?

    PHILIPPE COUTINHO

Barcelona have bee relentless in their pursuit of Philippe Coutinho after losing Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain for a world record fee.

The Catalans are showing no signs of letting up despite having a £118 million bid turned down just days earlier.

The La Liga giants are already preparing a fourth £130 million offer to prise the Brazilian away from Anfield according to The Express.

    RATING: 7/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

Liverpool must be commended for their resistance but ultimately, money talks. There’s no way they can justify that Coutinho is worth the money being offered and passing up on this opportunity would be ill-advised, particularly when you have Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Adam Lallana (once he’s fit) and even Roberto Firmino to help them cope.

The pragmatic thing to do is cash in on the Brazilian while there’s still time to re-invest, perhaps in an elite striker like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or a world class defender. Eventually it does seem that they will give in to reason with Barcelona continually upping their offer.

    ALEXIS SANCHEZ

Arsene Wenger has been adamant that Arsenal will keep Alexis Sanchez at the club this season even if it means losing him on a free transfer net summer, but Manchester City appear not to be listening.

The Mirror report that Pep Guardiola remains keen on the Chilean forward and the club are willing to spend £70 million to secure a transfer.

    RATING: 7/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

Arsenal are digging their heels in with this one but are in danger of cutting off their nose to spite their face. It would be foolish to allow the Chilean to leave on a free transfer next summer, especially given the money it would take to replace him.

The player clearly wants out and could force the move through as the deadline draws closer.

    DIEGO COSTA

The Diego Costa-Chelsea stand-off has become a protracted and tiresome saga this summer but it seems as if an agreement is in sight.

Spanish radio station Onda Cero claim a deal has been struck which will see the Blues make a profit, receiving £41 million up front and £9 million in add-ons.

    RATING: 9/10

    SPORT360 VERDICT

The sooner this situation is resolved, the better for all involved. Costa has no intention of ever playing for Chelsea again and the club don’t want to have a disruptive personality like that in their camp.

The Stamford Bridge outfit may want to sell the striker to a Chinese club but given Costa’s determination to play for Atletico, they should eventually agree a deal with the La Liga outfit to wrap things up.
