Shoppers now have even more reason to head to City Centre Sharjah, with the mall hosting a new interactive game this month that will have visitors putting pedal to the metal.
Get active and win prizes in Pedal Power, a game created exclusively for City Centre Sharjah visitors that is modelled after slot car racing.
Instead of using remote controls, however, participants will have to peddle away on a stationary bike to race the miniature cars on the specially designed track and see who is the fastest to take the chequered flag.
Six racers will compete in each round, with the winners being crowned champion and receiving a medal and vouchers, along with bragging rights.
The clever concept is part of City Centre Sharjah’s aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle and combines entertainment with physical activity. Rather than offering a typical standstill game, Pedal Power puts the user literally in the seat of the action and motivates them to be active.
“Physical activity often takes a backseat in summer because of the heat, but at City Centre Sharjah you can enjoy a fun exercise indoors with a chance to win mall vouchers in our new exclusive game Pedal Power this month,” said Mohammed Al Rais, senior mall manager of City Centre Sharjah.
“Shoppers can not only take advantage of our diverse retail, leisure and F&B offerings, but we take it one step further by providing another dimension of entertainment that can be enjoyed by the entire family to create great moments.”
By spending Dh299 at City Centre Sharjah until August 31, shoppers can earn the opportunity to take on the Pedal Power challenge to win gift cards and vouchers, while also redeeming their receipts for a coupon to enter the grand draw to win a 2017 Toyota Fortuner.
Aside from Pedal Power, City Centre Sharjah has all their usual offerings of entertainment and shopping spread out among 38,000 square metres. The mall is set for bigger things as well after announcing a Dh260 million redevelopment to expand what’s on offer. including a 12-screen VOX Cinemas.
In the meantime, take a break from the usual mall trip and test your ability in Pedal Power to race to victory.
