  • The entertainment stretches way beyond the world-class field assembled for the 2022 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, from January 20-23.

The headline attraction away from the course is provided by Westlife singer Brian McFadden on Saturday’s Ladies’ Day. Exclusive vouchers, competitions and golf lessons will also be on offer to all women attending the opening Rolex Series event of the year.

But McFadden isn’t the sole attraction at the prestigious tournament, taking place for the first time at Yas Links, situated on the world-renowned entertainment destination of Yas Island.

Ladies’ Day on Saturday is one of the four themed days of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, with the Community Day on the Thursday, Red Friday and Family Day on the Sunday. The week features a packed entertainment schedule including trick shot competitions, and live music acts Daniel Stuart Batchelor, The International Playboys and Greg Pearson.

A host of foodie treats, activities, entertainment, live music and much more will also be available from 07:00-20:00 every day in The Village.

This further includes a sports zone, dedicated kids zone with activities, bird display, shaded seating and big screens to watch the golf, fun golf performances and the chance to win prizes galore.

Free general admission tickets and a host of hospitality packages are still available, via Ticketmaster.ae.

The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship is now into its 17th-consecutive year with some of the world’s best golfers competing for the iconic Falcon trophy, including Major winners Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa and Adam Scott.

The event will be jam-packed with entertainment and activities throughout the day including free drinks, competitions for prizes such as business-class flights and a clinic for budding golfers to give ladies the perfect day out.

Ladies who attend on the Saturday will receive two free drink vouchers and a spa voucher for Hilton Abu Dhabi, Yas Island. The drink vouchers should be collected before 13:00 and be redeemed from select bars within The Championship Village (from 13:00 to 17:00).

In addition to the host of prizes on offer, the day also offers the perfect opportunity to put on your best outfit as ladies will have the chance to win the ‘Best Outfit Competition’, with two business class flights on offer to any DP World Tour destination around the world from Abu Dhabi.

For golfers or those entirely new to the sport, there is the added opportunity to brush up on your skills with some of the best in the business. Ladies golf clinics will provide an opportunity for all women attending to have a session with a professional golf coach.

Tom Phillips, Head of Middle East for the DP World Tour, said: “For more than a decade, spectators have been a key part in making the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship a resounding success and with the return of fans this year we’re excited to host Ladies’ Day at this spectacular location on Yas Island. .

“We are delighted to have a full live set from Brian McFadden as the headline act on Saturday night and we cannot wait to witness the excellent atmosphere both on and off the course. We want to see more and more women take an interest in golf and we hope this dedicated day will be a highlight on the social and sporting calendar.”

First staged in 2006, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship has built a strong legacy in the Middle East, and the move to Yas Island highlights Abu Dhabi as an international sports hub.

Yas Island is Abu Dhabi’s premier leisure, retail and entertainment hub offering a unique blend of stunning views, first-class hospitality and a diverse range of award-winning leisure and entertainment attractions, enhancing the experience for fans, whether they attend in person or watch from around the world.
