    Proflific Italy striker Stephan El Shaarawy, who is nicknamed Il Faraone (The Pharaoh) due to his Egyptian ancestry, turns 22 today.

     Frequently regarded as one of the most promising youngsters of his generation, Shaarawy was signed by Milan in 2011 and made his senior international debut in August 2012, in a friendly match against England.

    The Savona-born player represented Italy at the 2013 Confederations Cup, where they finished in third place and is currently on loan to Ligue 1 side Monaco
