JACK WILSHERE (ARSENAL)

Position: Midfielder

Age: 24

Chasing clubs: Everton, Bournemouth, Valencia, West Ham and Sunderland

What will happen: James McCarthy is rumoured to be on his way out of Everton and Arsenal are happy to let injury-prone Wilshere move out on loan for the season.

JAMES RODRIGUEZ (REAL MADRID)

Position: Attacking midfielder

Age: 25

Chasing clubs: Chelsea, Juventus and AC Milan

What will happen: The Colombian doesn’t fit into Real Madrid’s 4-3-3 formation but he may well have to fight for his place due to an exponential fee.

SAIDO BERAHINO (WEST BROM)

Position: Striker

Age: 23

Chasing clubs: Stoke, Tottenham and Sunderland

What will happen: The West Brom forward has been perennially linked with a move away from the Hawthorns but looks set to see out the final year of his contract.

MARCOS ROJO (MAN UTD)

Position: Defender

Age: 26

Chasing club: Valencia

What will happen: The Spanish side have made an approach with the Argentine falling down the pecking order at United. Following Shkodran Mustafi’s exit, he’s viewed as an ideal replacement.

ISCO (REAL MADRID)

Position: Attacking midfielder

Age: 24

Chasing clubs: Tottenham and Malaga

What will happen: With Real reluctant to sell one of Spain’s most naturally-gifted players, Spurs and Malaga have made loan offers. Isco is said to be tempted by both but Zinedine Zidane will have the final say.

SAMIR NASRI (MAN CITY)

Position: Attacking midfielder

Age: 29

Chasing clubs: Besiktas and Sevilla

What will happen: Despite playing for the first time under Pep Guardiola last weekend, Nasri is set to leave the Etihad with Sevilla said to be arranging a medical once personal terms are agreed.

BLAISE MATUIDI (PSG)

Position: Defensive midfielder

Age: 29

Chasing club: Juventus

What will happen: Matuidi is unhappy with his bit-part role at PSG and the Serie A champions are searching for a replacement for Paul Pogba. The Parisians say he will sign a new deal but he wants a move.

KALIDOU KOULIBALY (NAPOLI)

Position: Defender

Age: 25

Chasing clubs: Chelsea and Everton

What will happen: Antonio Conte is keen to add another centre-back but having had a £38 million (Dh182m) bid rejected he’s unwilling to go any higher, despite being short for his three-man backline.

STEVEN N’ZONZI (SEVILLA)

Position: Defensive midfielder

Age: 27

Chasing clubs: Juventus and Leicester

What will happen: Should Juve fail in their attempts to sign Matuidi, the former Stoke midfielder is viewed as the alternative. Leicester have also made their interest clear but it could go down to the wire.

JULIAN DRAXLER (WOLFSBURG)

Position: Attacking midfielder

Age: 22

Chasing clubs: Arsenal and PSG

What will happen: Given he has a reported €110 million (Dh450m) release clause it’s hard to imagine he’ll leave in this window. He is said to be desperate for a move to a top European club, though.
