This morning, Manchester City have booked their place at the League Cup final at Wembley after beating Everton in their two-leg semi-final. City, who were a goal behind Everton going into the match at the Etihad, soon found themselves a further goal behind when Ross Barkley scored for Everton inside 20 minutes. City then struck three times however to complete a 4-3 aggregate score. City will face Liverpool at Wembley on February 28.

The Australian Open is set for a momentous day as the women’s semi-finals take place as well as the battle between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, who play later this afternoon.

Finally, it’s Louis Oosthuizen and Pablo Larrazabal who lead the way on 7 under after the first round at the Doha Golf Club in the Qatar Masters. Defending champion Branden Grace is 2 under and aiming to become the first man to defend his title in Doha.
