  • The UAE Royals lost on the second day of the 2016 International Premier Tennis League as they were downed 23-20 by Japan Warriors at the Saitama Super Arena on Saturday.

Home favourite Kei Nishikori landed just in time to join his teammates and help them secure their first win of the competition.

Coach Josh Eagle took full advantage of his local hero and used him not just in Men’s Singles but also in the Doubles.

Meanwhile, Indian Aces edged out Singapore Slammers in a tight contest, winning 26-25.

The win and the three points were decided in a Super Shoot-Out, where Kirsten Flipkens was simply too good for Kiki Bertens.

Above are the highlights from the second day of the IPTL 2016 posted on the competition’s YouTube channel.
