Pakistan fast bowing legend Wasim Akram has launched a new cricket news app just in time for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) tournament in the UAE, which begins on Thursday.

The 49-year-old, who claimed 414 Test wickets in a glorious 17-year career for his country, has developed free Wasim Akram’s Cricket News app – which helps fans stay in touch with the game from the comfort of their handsets.

And with the PSL set to capture the imagination of Pakistani cricket fans all over the world, Islamabad United’s Director of Cricket believes it is the best way for loyal supporters to keep track of events on the field.

“It’s perfect timing to release the app with the PSL about to start. In this app you can get what you want quickly by just the simple press of a button,” Akram told Sport360 exclusively at the product’s launch in Dubai.
